Description

GIASCO MEDINA S2 work shoes without laces with Kube sole for increased slip resistance. Their upper part is made of special Microwash material with a thickness of 1.8-2.0mm. Microwash is an extremely breathable material, suitable for hospitals and the food sector in general, specially designed to provide comfort to people who wear work shoes on very wet surfaces for many hours. The finish of the material with breathable polyurethanes, which give the feel of leather, guarantees complete foot breathability and complete resistance to acids, such as oleic acids. Specifically, this material has been tested in the laboratory in compliance with the EN 13832-3:2018 testing method. These tests have proven its resistance to strong agents (for example: detergents, acids) used in various sectors and applications such as food, horeca, etc. Especially in catering areas where employees' shoes get dirty frequently, GIASCO MEDINA S2 work shoes in black are an ideal choice.

Regarding their weight, the microfibers are 40% lighter than natural leather. Furthermore, this material can be washed at 40°C with water and neutral soap - be careful, shoes made of Microwash should not be machine washed. The material does not contain Chromium. The interior of the shoes is made of extremely breathable material which is also very resistant to deterioration from abrasion. Their S2 certification indicates that they are waterproof and at the same time provide toe protection. This protection is metal-free, meaning it is made of polymer material with 200J impact safety, according to EN 12568. Furthermore, their design, given that they are low work shoes, makes them very lightweight and suitable for long hours of work in environments where ankle protection is not required.

Regarding their sole, to address the phenomenon of frequent accidents due to slipping, Giasco has created a new type of sole, the Kube. The Kube includes small embossed cubes in its design. This design makes it ideal for floors with a lot of water/liquids and especially for those who work on an inclined surface like roofs (it even received the corresponding UNI 11583:2015 certification).

The sole is made of double-density PU/PU polyurethane for increased durability, is antistatic and resistant to hydrolysis (ISO 5423:92) as well as to oils and fuels. It provides heel shock absorption and has received SRC certification for the best possible slip resistance (two-parameter test). The shoe's insole (code 5000) consists of 3 materials for extra comfort and is breathable, removable, anatomical, absorbent, antistatic ESD, and antibacterial.
