Health & Safety Awards 2024
The awards ceremony for the winners of the Health & Safety Awards 2024 the only awards in Greece dedicated to Occupational Health & Safety was held on Thursday, June 6 at 8:00 PM at the InterContinental Athenaeum Athens.
In a lively and optimistic atmosphere, company executives received their awards, posed for photos with colleagues and members of the awards evaluation committee, gave on-camera statements, and engaged in relaxed conversations.
The aim of the Health & Safety Awards 2024, organized for the 10th consecutive year by BOUSSIAS Events under the auspices of the Hellenic Institute for Occupational Health and Safety, is to showcase companies that create and maintain safe workplaces, cultivate a culture of preventive health and safety among employers and employees, and serve as role models within their respective industries.
The President of the Judging Committee, Antonis Christodoulou, sent a congratulatory message to the winners, encouraging them to continue their work with the same momentum and creativity. Among other things, he emphasized: "…The lack of prevention burdens national economies with enormous costs, and even if we consider only this factor aside from the human aspect and legal consequences prevention PAYS OFF. …Occupational Health & Safety concerns everyone involved in the workplace. …From my many years of involvement in OH&S matters, the key takeaway for the effective implementation of prevention and protection for workers is that ‘TOGETHER WE CAN’, and the essential first step lies with the businesses themselves. …Today, at the Health & Safety Awards 2024, we honor the companies that do not punish but educate, do not impose but inspire. These are the companies that stand beside and understand the needs and expectations of their employees, steadily walking the path toward sustainable development."
